i'm new

We know that attending a church service for the first time can be a super scary thing. Being unsure of what the dress, culture or even when to stand up and sit down can be a weirdly paralyzing thought! At TLC, you can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged.

We've created a first-time visitors guide that will help you navigate your first time at an TLC gathering, and help ease any questions or concerns you might have before attending.

  • 1. What are your weekend services like?

Each weekend at TLC Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music. A multimedia large-screen presentation help you make the most of the practical and relevant message. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled Highland Kids service.  Click for service times and directions.

  • 2. What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

  • 3. What do I wear to attend your services?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Sunday Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because TLC is not about what you look like or what you wear.

  • 4. Where are you located?

The Directions page offers maps to TLC.  Click Here for directions.

  • 5. What about my children?

At TLC your children are a top priority. Our Sunday school classes are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children's ministry called H2O Kids as well as life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college.

  • 6. How can I meet others and get connected?

There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Church 101 Transformation Class. Small groups are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.

  • 7. How can I be disciple and grow?

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our Transformation Class Track offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership.

  • 8. Why do you have small groups?

Small groups are an important part of TLC Church; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups called Hotspots. Hotspots allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. Click here for our Hotspot information.

  • 9. How can I get involved in a small group?

One of the easiest things to do at TLC Church is to participate in a small group. Hotspots meet throughout greater Seattle area and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a Hotspot  near you. Click here for  our online directory and visit a group this week.
